We have updated this policy to reflect amendments to the paid sick time law to include blood donation as a permissible purpose for leave as of January 1, 2026. We are also updating the logic to specify whether leave is paid or unpaid and are making stylistic changes for consistency.
NEW Nebraska Paid Sick Time
We have added this policy to reflect paid sick leave requirements applicable to employers with 11 or more employees in Nebraska. Effective October 1, 2025, employers with 20 or more employees in Nebraska must provide up to 56 hours of paid sick time per year, and employers with at least 11 but fewer than 20 employees must provide up to 40 hours.
